Re: Jesse Lingard - Yes or no?
I reckon they do the opposite. Take the £10 million hit. For the chance of next season Champions League money. The last thing you do is strengthen your opposition. They will most likely have to flog Pogba in January. So any funds from selling Lingard ain’t going to affect them to much. While not getting Champion League footie is the biggest hit they would have to take.

Maybe true but are they that Savvy?
Will anyone want Pogba?

Re: Jesse Lingard - Yes or no?
I think this depends on how the team felt about him. If they like him and they got on then he would add extra options.

Re: Jesse Lingard - Yes or no?
Agree with the post below. If were still in and around where we are now in the league then Man Utd will probably try and get him to move somewhere else or just hold on to him until the end of his contract.

10m is nothing compared to CL money.

Hopefully Vlasic will take the opportunity while Benrahma is away.

Good shout on Broja, but can see him being a regular at Chelsea next season once it becomes apparent that Lukaku has flopped.

PSG. Juventus. Real Madrid. And It wouldn’t be ridiculous money.

Seems they liked him and think he taught others ir Fornals,Bowen and Benni a lot

Pogba. Not Lingard. Will go abroad.

100% yes

For the £10m quoted? Definitely Yes. However, he would no longer walk in to the team like he did last season.

Re: Jesse Lingard - Yes or no?
Call me a know nothing but Pogba is a fairweather massively overrated big time disruptive piece of shit who wants ridiculous money for both him and his agent. Can't see anyone touching him with a barge pole and think Manu are stuck with him. Surely Lingard massively fancies a big old slice of us now which will determine whether or not they sell him in January

Re: Jesse Lingard - Yes or no?
It wouldn't be a surprise to see them both hang on until the summer.

The signing on fees they'd command then would be far greater than what they'd receive in January if they were to move.

The difference with Lingard is that his England career is at stake. What's more important to him? Money or his England career?

"Surely Lingard massively fancies a big old slice of us now which will determine whether or not they sell him in January."

If were still competing for top four come January they would be stupid to let him come to us (hopefully they are stupid). Doesn't matter what the player wants, the club will do what's right for them.

Re: Jesse Lingard - Yes or no?
If it's only 10 million then yes- although wages will probably be an issue- i.e. I imagine he'll want to be the highest earner by a long shot which will rub other players up the wrong way.

However, he'd be mad to agree to go anywhere in January. Just wait until he's out of contract in the summer and have his pick of clubs and make out of it much better financially for himself. If that were to us, then we could just offer him a massive signing on bonus in exchange for lesser wages.

Surely thats in our favour now as he will have to fight for his place although Benni being away for a month may leave us short with FA cup starting so it's a no brainer for me

Re: Jesse Lingard - Yes or no?
100% yes but Man U would be mad to sell him to us if league positions are similar in Jan.

I can’t see them selling to us if form remains the same.

Re: Jesse Lingard - Yes or no?
A lot depends if they sack ogs - but 100% yes. He’s a great footballer who fits in perfectly with Moyes’ system.

Eerie Descent 3:14 Mon Nov 15
Re: Jesse Lingard - Yes or no?
I would be staggered if Man Utd were so desperate for £10mil that they'd risk massively strengthening a direct rival this season for a CL spot. Would be a mental decision by them.

PwoperNaughtyButNot 3:18 Mon Nov 15
Re: Jesse Lingard - Yes or no?
He needs to go somewhere if he wants to play in the World Cup next summer.

He also needs to go somewhere and make a massive impact like he did with us last time.

I don’t think he can do that with us this time.

Newcastle seems an obvious choice. Perhaps Villa with Gerrard reigniting him.

Should we be in for him? He’s a great player and a great addition to our squad but you have to wonder what Vlasic is there for at £25m and Lanzini is coming back into a bit of form.

I wouldn’t say he is priority.
